Dear Festividder:

Thank you for taking on the challenge of making me a vid! (And thanks to any potential treat makers, too! 😊)

Some general notes…
  • “Talky face” is my nemesis. Please, PLEASE try to avoid using clips like that. (Exceptions to all rules apply, but generally even when vidding real people, there are plenty of options to use other than when someone is speaking.)
  • My music tastes are a bit GET OFF MY LAWN, I fear. Most modern stuff is not my jam, but maybe I just don’t know the good bands so it would be awesome to find new tunes through vids again. I tend to gravitate towards alternative music from the last 20 years and also love 80’s and 90’s stuff when the mood hits. But please do what you feel is right for the vid that you are making.
  • I’m cool with all content, effects, and vidding styles. Just please don’t overwhelm with effects for no reason and if you’re adding dialogue please make sure to mix it so it doesn’t interfere with the music. If you feel like experimenting and going outside what’s normal for you, go for it! And if you don’t, that’s totally fine too. I’m so stoked to see what you come up with!
Now onto the vids!

CATE BLANCHETT RPF: It’s about damn time we celebrate this queen, icon, and legend. She’s done commercials, weird art installations, music videos, theater productions, comedy, drama, Academy Award winning films, plenty of not Academy Awards winning films, and served us infinite golden personality moments on all her press tours. Cate is G.O.A.T. and needs a vid showcasing this fact!

FOR ALL MANKIND (TV): If you’re not watching this alternate history show on Apple TV+, you should be. I love everything about it (except for the Stevens boys 😒), but especially the female characters. So many awesome ladies! IN SPACE! Have at it as you will.

HACKS (TV 2021): Ummm how do you watch Hacks and NOT ship Deborah/Ava?? It’s literally impossible. I love them. That is all.

LOVECRAFT COUNTRY (TV): This show had a lot going on, was cancelled after one season, but I just can’t stop thinking about Ruby Baptiste and Christina Braithwhite and *waves hands* THAT whole thing. I’d love a vid about their story. I mean they had layers (and literal layers!) of drama. Please explore!

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF…[UMBRELLA]: Ok so here’s the deal. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is my one true housewives franchise and that is the vid of my dreams. Those bitches are rich as hell and they love DRAMA! Literally anything from RHOBH will do and they’ve been BRINGING IT lately.

SOMEBODY FEED PHIL (TV): Phil Rosenthal is the personification of good vibes and happiness, so when combined with gorgeous looking and tasty food, it’s an explosion of pure joy! His food reactions are particularly fab, I can already see the supercut.

YELLOWJACKETS (TV): Perfect show. No notes. Go as wild making this vid as the characters do in the show!

GRETA (2018) [SAFETY]: I guess I’m just really into this psychological thriller where Isabelle Huppert becomes disturbingly obsessed with a young woman. I guess I’m just really into that? 😅

CHUCKY (TV 2021): This show is super fun but…I could care less about the kids. I’m sorry! But it’s true. I’m really there for Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany Valentine (and Tiffany Valentine as Jennifer Tilly) and her bananas plot with Fiona Dourif (who is brilliantly making Chucky possession a family business). All the Chucky movies are entertaining, but my favorites are Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky. I adore Glen and Glenda (in all their iterations) and, of course, that little scamp, Chucky.

KATE MCKINNON RPF: Kate is great! She’s one of my faves and I’d love to see a vid dedicated to this wonderful oddball of a human. You can tackle her iconic SNL characters, her movie roles, and various IRL appearances. Dig deep enough on YouTube and you can strike gold. 😉
